It occurred to me as I experienced the music and images – and the goosebumps they induce, that, if this doesn’t affect you, if your response is anything other than warmth and love and hope for these women and their men, you are not an American, not an Englishman, not a Westerner. You are not someone who believes in protecting Western Civilization from its enemies, enemies who now are stronger and have more allies inside the West than ever before. Enemies who WILL kill us if we do not stop them first.

And if you don’t get that, you are intentionally ignorant – the information is there for all to see and hear; you are relying on our warriors, whom you despise, to preserve a peace and a civilization you lack the intelligence or learning to understand.

My next thought was this: There are those who live in and take advantage of Western Civilization and its liberties and freedoms, yet prefer neither to defend in word or deed that civilization, nor to attack, in word or deed, those who would destroy those liberties, freedoms and human rights. Nor to have the children it requires to continue to survive.

These people actively work and write and protest against everything that makes America - and the West - free, educated and wealthy, everything that has allowed the entire world to progress since the Industrial Revolution, everything that makes the world free - it is Christianity, after all, now more-than-ever under attack by our elites, that ended slavery … in the West.. and slavery still survives in Islam, the “civilization” these people refuse to destroy, or even to defend freedom against.

Which led to the question: Why do those people choose to live within Western Civilization yet neither attack its enemies nor defend it from them? Why do they demand its liberty yet rail against others having those same liberties? Why do they accept the enslavement and murder of women, yet demand equality here? Either lack of equality is bad – or it is not.

There are no third choices, no situational ethics that say child brides are bad in one nation and good elsewhere, no situational morals that demand women to be stoned to-death in one geography and excused in another for exactly the same behavior, no moral or civilized rationale to whip to-death a girl becaue she was raped by a married man.

Most Westerners would agree that the above examples represent what Western Civilization regards as “evil.” Most Westerners are under the delusion that what we call “Universal Human Rights,”… are universal. They are not. They exist within Western Civ, and not even here universally (women are nowhere near as equal in S. America, for example, as in Western Europe or North America). Yet even those who decry rape, murder, mutilation of women UNDER THE LAW OF ISLAM…. defend Islam and decry America.

While I could go on and on in that vein, and often do so on this blog, the next thought through my mind was this: Western Civ at this point seems split as perhaps never before. I wouldn’t hazard a guess for Europe or New Zealand or Australia, but here in America about half of us like Western Civ enough to defend and populate it, and half don’t. In Europe way fewer than half actually are populating the Western future. (And it seems to be uniquely the Anglosphere defending it overseas against what truly are barbarians lacking any civilization at all.)

There really is nowhere else to go, no new continent to be discovered, no colony in space on an inviting planet. We’re going to have to make-do here for quite some time. So why don’t we manage Western Civilization entirely differently?

America was founded on personal liberty and freedom. Because America has been the country of liberty, tens of millions have immigrated here. And we have saved from tyranny hundreds of millions across the globe. So why not just encourage mass population movement?

If you prefer to have children, to give them a free future, and to defend Western Civ and free market capitalism, that which made us economically, militarily and morally strong, to work to improve your standard of living and the future of your kids, to defend yourself and your family, come, move to America.

If you don’t like America’s freedoms, if you prefer speech codes to free speech, if you prefer dying at the hands of a brute to defending yourself with a gun, living off the fruits of others’ labors rather than your own, and don’t believe in the future enough to populate it, go, move to Europe.

Western Civ seems at a crossroads. Half of us believe in it; half do not.

The half that does believe in it should move to America.

The half that does not should move OUT of America.

Those desiring to overturn freedom and capitalism and liberty and free speech and free thought: move. We DON’T WANT YOU HERE.

Those desiring freedom and capitalism and liberty and free speech and free thought: come. The jobs, progress, wealth, education… the future… are here. No other nation in the West is reproducing. No other nation in the West has a Constitution providing both Free Speech and the ability to defend it.

Rather than continue railing at one another… let’s just re-arrange the West. If you like the idea of a future, if you have kids and like freedom… America is your natural home.

And if you do not… America has no place for you, but Europe is calling.

You know what a hard-working, liberty- and freedom-loving European with children is called don’t you? He’s called an “American,” because he’s already moved here.

Don’t let the doorknob hit you on the way out.

Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? “You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair.” Your home “will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried.” If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government” job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

We are in negotiations with the leading jurist in the Muslim Brotherhood, a man who has called for Islamic defeat of Europe and the US, issued a fatwa for the killing of Americans in Iraq, calls suicide bombers “heroic martyrs,” and demands a global Islamist caliphate. And Obama is SURRENDERING to him.

We evidently have doubled-down on Idiot Joe Biden’s line that the Taliban are not our enemy.

We are releasing Afghan prisoners from GITMO and sending them back to Afghanistan - your tax dollars at work.

If any parent with a child nearing military age allows them to go into the military service of the United States, they are INSANE. And, yes, I have served. Once I was proud enough of the American military to get myself appointed to and attend the USAF Academy. Now I would NEVER allow my children to join the US military in ANY capacity that might get them close to the fight. And I lack any respect for those senior officers who not only have turned the US  military into a Palace Guard, but who also refuse to defend the Constitution - their ONLY Constitutional duty - from Obama and the Democrats, both domestic enemies of that Constitution beyond a shadow of a doubt.

If any parent who had a child who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan does not act against the current American regime, then that parent has less honor than their child had in laying down his or her life for freedom.

And if any nation still believes America to be a trusted ally they are CRAZY.

This is what happens when Democrats are at the levers of power.

In 1973 we negotiated a ceasefire with North Vietnam. This included a recognized demarcation between North and South Vietnam, and an agreement that America would replace weapons and ammo used-up by the South in defending themselves, keeping a parity of weapons as deterrence, and keeping the South free.

The Democrat Senate ratified this treaty.

In 1975, following the next mid-term election, Democrats ceased funding this treaty - one they ratified. American stopped sending weapons and ammo to a nation for whom we had sacrificed over 58,000 Americans, and to whom we had given our WORD that we would continue to arm so that they could defend themselves.

And Vietnam fell and MILLIONS of people were killed by the VC and NVA.

During the Civil War, “Copperheads” were Democrats who decided the fight was too tough and wanted to quit and let the South secede and slavery remain. It’s not as though Democrats have only recently begun to be cowards in every sense of the word.

Once American leaders said and believed:

“I have not yet begun to fight.” — John Paul Jones

“Give me liberty or give me death.” — Patrick Henry

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” — JFK

Now we have leaders of the most powerful economy and military in the history of the known universe, the freest people ever to walk the globe… and we surrender to 7th-Century idiots who behead their POWs, kill their own daughters, treat their women worse than dogs AND LET THEIR GIRLS BURN TO-DEATH IN A BUILDING RATHER THAN GET OUT WITHOUT A BURKHA ON, marry adult men to 9-yr-old girls, refuse to educate half their population, build ski slopes in the desert while their people live in squalor, and have a literacy rate of under 50%.

And yet there are actually American WOMEN who support this despicable politicaly party…

Did I support fighting in Afghanistan? I supported waging war against them as they had proven to be our enemies and the enemies of freedom and liberty. But combat is not war. Wars are won by destroying the enemy and their infrastructure completely and totally. Americans won every single battle in Vietnam - but we lost the war. We NEVER had realistic RoE in Afghanistan, and as soon as that became widely evident, there was no reason to stay and die when we weren’t serious about winning.

And wars end only one of two ways: One side destroys the other, or one side tires of the fight. In American history only the Civil War and WW2 were won; in all other military endeavors one side or the other has walked-away.

If America is not going to fight to win, then no reason at all exists to fight and kill and die.

Afghanistan is why nuclear weapons were invented. Destroy the enemy at zero loss to American lives. ANY OTHER WAY OF WAGING WAR IS IMMORAL. How many children will not be born to the American fallen? How many Gates and Jobs and Trumans and JFKs and Warhols and Faulkners and Hemingways have we lost - and will never know?

For WHAT? So we could surrender to the 7th Century?!?

And now we tire and walk-away from Afghanistan. And those who collaborated with America and our allies, those who bravely fought for their own freedom and liberty? They will be the first casualties.. and Democrats will stand idly by.

If there is a more shameful or despicable party and dishonorable people than American Democrats they are not visible to me in modern history.

Had MY son been lost in Afghanistan…..

It’s true that my friend Mr Romney knows how to create jobs in the private sector - he’s done so, and done so very successfully. But the job of the president is to create the budgetary, legislative, judicial and regulatory environments for people like Mr Romney so that they can do what he has done.

Mr Romney has NOT done that; I have.

I am very proud of the jobs Mitt has created in the private sector, as is he - rightfully so.

And when I am your president I will use my background of balancing the budget and shrinking the legislative and regulatory burden on people like Mitt as they - and he - continue to create jobs in the private sector.

I know Mitt will thank me for this later when he returns to the private-sector job creation he does so well.

America must choose whether to give-up the American experiment and become like Europe - or not.

• Obama = Eastern Europe
• Romney = Western Europe
• Newt = America

That’s the choice here, folks.

Not really that difficult to understand why the country is moving towards Newt.

And it’s not really difficult to understand why the establishment politicians (who rely on government bureaucrats for their lifestyles), or the MSM (who rely on establishment pols for their stories and hence lifestyles) dislike Newt: Newt is going to CHANGE things… things which NEED CHANGING BACK to Constitutional, AMERICAN government.

In November 2012, American voters will have to choose: Do we want to be America or Europe? That’s what it all comes down to right now.

Put another way:

Will the American voter chose to accept the 1968 Baby Boomer Liberals in this last noisy (violent?) grasp for totalitarian power over a socialist American utopia they so ignorantly and ahistorically demand, ending the American Experiment?

…or Will the American voter reject the 1968 Baby Boomer Libs’ socialist utopia as we have been since 1968 (with the anomaly of Obama who sold himself as completely different than what he really is) and choose to remain exceptional and great?

(You know what you call a hard-working, entrepreneurial European? An “American”. That’s because if they like hard work and expect to be rewarded for it, they’ve moved here. Where will they go if we choose to emulate that failed demi-continent, Europe?)

What’ll be really fun is to watch and listen to the Europeans whine and complain if Obama or Romney win, America’s wealth shrinks and we no longer can afford to defend all of these childish countries (everyone in the West but America) who refuse to defend themselves.

Once Obamacare swings in to action, we won’t be able to sustain the American DoD bills that Libs & Europeans hate anyway. The result, of course, will be that nations now relying on America for defense (but who have been demanding we implement the same hyper-expensive and unsustainable social welfare systems that now are destroying their countries) will have to defend themselves because America no longer will be able to afford to do so. And when a China or Russia makes a move and these silly little countries with no military force to speak of (Germany, France, Britain, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Norway, Denmark, Taiwan, S. Korea, Australia….) get run-over as history resumes with a vengeance in the absence of the American Superpower, these children, spoiled by America since 1945, will come running to their once-rich Uncle Sam, only to find that he’s broke from spoiling them… Oops.

… then what?

Well, the thing that separates adults from children - the same thing that separates Conservatives from Liberals - responsibility, consequences, ramifications - will happen… and without America, none of these nations will be able to deal with the ramifications of their choices.

… that’s what.

“The State Department began a three-day, closed-door meeting Monday to talk about U.S. free speech rules with representatives from numerous Islamic governments that have lobbied for 12 years to end U.S. citizens’ ability to speak freely about Islam’s history and obligations.”

Newsflash for the Obama government: The US doesn’t HAVE “Free speech rules;” we have a Constitution that is the foundation for the Rule of Law in America, and at the very bottom of that foundation is the First Amendment - that CANNOT be overturned. Free speech is NOT subject to “rules.”

Those who are still coming to-grips with the fact that the Left HATES free speech may now have to accept this fact. The Left IS totalitarian, root and branch, and must be dealt-with as such. The Left IS an existential enemy of the United States of America.

For official representatives of the American government even to ATTEND a meeting the fundamental purpose of which is the restriction of speech is absolutely, appallingly incredible. For the American State Department to HOST a meeting to limit free speech is more un-American than anything else I can think of. And to make it a closed-door meeting?!?! Are you KIDDING ME?

Imagine if Bush or Reagan had tried this. Imagine if Brezhnev tried this - to host a meeting on Free Speech in America…

This is pretty easy stuff:

“Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech…”

1.       The American government CANNOT restrict speech.

2.       For ANY representative of the American government even to ATTEND a meeting where speech restriction is under discussion is absurd. For them to attend such a meeting in their professional capacity, while being paid a salary by We the People, certainly sounds like a violation of the First Amendment in spirit if not in fact, and should NOT be countenanced.

3.       The Founders understood that at some point in time the government might try to overthrow the FIRST Amendment - which is FIRST for a REASON… this is why the same Founders gave us the SECOND Amendment, which is SECOND for the same reason: Free speech is, above all else, the indicator of a free people, and a free people WILL defend free speech with deadly force.

4.       If ANY rule/law/regulation regarding speech limitation comes from these meetings (and why else would our government attend?),  or even is SUBMITTED to Congress or one of Obama’s czars, the government MUST be overthrown IMMEDIATELY.

5.       Millions of people in the United States, myself included, have taken the oath to serve in our military. That oath is NOT to defend the Congress, NOT to defend the President; it is to “defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.” ANY American government official seriously considering limitations on the free speech of Americans is, by definition, a domestic enemy of the Constitution and must summarily be removed from office. This is the ONLY Constitutional role of the US Military. If the US Military does NOT seek-out and REMOVE those in violation of the First Amendment, why are we paying their salaries? I have no interest in employing a bunch of warriors who only want to defend OTHER nations - defend ours or go work elsewhere.

Here’s recap of Hope and Change SINCE President Obama took office in Jan 2009.    Comparing economic indicators starting in Jan 2009 to present day:

1.       Federal debt has increased by 43% from $10.6 trillion to $15 trillion.

2.       Americans living in poverty have increased by 16% from 39.8 million to 46.2 million.

3.       Total unemployment (U6) has increased by 68% from 13.7 million to 23 million.

4.       Price of gasoline has increased by 80% from $1.86/gal to $3.35/gal

5.       Americans on food stamps have increased 42% from 31.8 million to 45.2 million

6.       Home foreclosures per year have increased by 34% from 850,000 to 1,140,000

7.       Total bankruptcy filings per year have increased by 42% from 1,117,641 to 1,593,081.

8.      Median Household incomes has declined by 4% from $50,939 to $48,950

9.       Median value of existing homes has declined by 17% from $197,233 to $162,500.

10.   US dollar compared to foreign currencies has declined by 8.7%.  [US dollar index of 85.9 in Jan 2009 to 78.5 in Dec 2011.]

11.    US dollar compared to gold has declined 105%.  [ $855/ounce to $1750/ounce]

12.    US  credit rating downgraded by S&P for first time

Change? You bet.

Hope? Not if we are stupid enough to put this clown back in the White House.

You do realize, of course, that another terrorist attack on America could change a presidential election, right?

And you know that when we Americans stop buying stuff after a terror attack… it just hurts the Chinese economy and their modernization plans, don’t you?

What, do you suppose, would happen if China, well… just got tired of it? And did something to stop it? Can you think of any proxies through whom they might act with complete deniability? I can….

… and what, do you suppose, would happen if China decided it needed more room for its people, more resources, more jobs, etc… and decided to buy Siberia from Russia? Lots of oil, gas, timber, ore … jobs … up there…. And Russia sold it because she can’t populate it, exploit its resources or defend it? And so China bought it with American debt? And then decides… well… you’ll have to find out what else she decides…

… and what, do you suppose, would happen if Russia used that money to entice Germany, Poland and the Czechs into sending a million workers to Russia to exploit the resources Russia DOES have but lacks the people to exploit… and incented them to have larger families to fix Russia’s demographic problem?  Creating a million jobs for northern Europeans…. IF Germany turned its back on the euro - and on the PIIGS?

And what would be the aftermath of China taking, shall we say - extreme measures - to join the Great Game (what international diplomacy between the major powers used to be called) with, umm… a BANG.. initiating a solution to international terrorism…. and began using her size and influence on the world stage… and America had a president smart enough to take advantage of the situation China - and Russia (did I forget that? Sorry…) created?

Well I decided to write a novel to find out what would happen.

We’re not talking Great American Novel here - that’s for Faulkner and Hemingway.. we’re talking a fun, quick, exciting read that is, as they say, “ripped from today’s headlines.” An excellent airplane book or Christmas present!
